miRNA Expression Profiling - Step 4: TaqMan reaction

The pre-amplification reaction is diluted, and a portion of it is added to a solution containing Taq polymerase and deoxynucleotide triphosphates. This solution is distributed to the wells of a 384-well plate via microfluidic channels in the card rather than by pipetting into individual wells. The 384-well plates are called TaqMan Low Density Array (TLDA) cards. Each well contains a specific miRNA forward primer, a specific miRNA TaqMan® probe, and a reverse "tail" primer.
